Metito appoints Infor to improve business processes

Metito, a leading provider of smart water management solutions, has deployed the Infor LN enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to improve its business processes.

The ERP solution simplifies and automates discrete operations providing manufacturers with increased visibility to enable more efficient response times to customers, suppliers and regulatory needs.

Infor LN also offers flexibility and responsiveness to specific engineering needs in the water industry.

Metito customized several external applications and integrated them into the Infor suite. Benefits seen across the business include reduced purchase cycles, better customer forecasting, and the ability for sales teams to securely capture customer visit details on their smartphones. Additionally, inventory can be tracked throughout the supply chain, improving project planning.

Metito has operations covering all facets of water management, including design and construction, specialty chemicals and utilities. The company has established many industry firsts in its more than 60 years of business, including the development of projects in recent years, such as the first public-private partnership surface water supply project in bulk in sub-Saharan Africa; El Hammam agricultural drainage, recycling and reuse plant in Egypt, and the largest wastewater treatment plant by capacity in Serbia.

“As demand for global water security increases and we continue to expand our global footprint, we have seen the need to upgrade our existing integrated management system to gain operational agility,” said Arnab Debroy, Metito Information Systems Manager.

“With Infor LN, companies gain complete visibility and control of their systems and processes. As the demand for water treatment continues to increase in the region, Metito is now better equipped with the agility to optimize its supply chains, finances and workforce,” commented Khaled AlShami , Senior Director of Solutions Consulting for Infor, Middle East and Africa.

Meanwhile, earlier this year, Infor named Amel Gardner as vice president and general manager for the Middle East and Africa region. The enterprise software company says Gardner will “drive Infor’s business growth and strategy in the region and drive agile project delivery and customer success.”
